Thank you for your interest in our products. The Ethernet ports on the back of the UPS would just provide surge protection for the Ethernet cable line. I wouldn't provide power to the Ethernet connection so you could use Power over Ethernet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You need to refer to the instructions that came with the unit. Some UPS's have a network surge filter, some don't. If there are 2 network plugs, that's probably a network surge filter. If there's just a single RJ45 socket (network), that's probably the data connection so your computer can monitor and report outages that the UPS sees. The package would have included a cord with an RJ45 (network) plug on one end and a USB plug on the other end.
