It should keep your printer going long enough to shut it down. Your computer also. I'm not sure how long it stays on. Probably just a few minutes. I just got it myself and have not had the power go off so far.

If it is a laser type, do NOT connect it to the battery-supported outlets on a UPS device - it will overload and everything will cut off. If your printer is an ink type, this will suit your purpose just fine.

However I would make sure the printer doesn't draw over 600 watts. Anything over 600 watts would overload the UPS. Sometimes printers can draw a bit of power so I would double check this.
