It has an AVR to keep the voltage from dropping and the battery kicks in if the voltage gets below a certain point. You can also adjust the sensitivity in the software.

This unit is very sensitive. I have a printer with a small surge every time we plug it in to scan. No other surge protector picks the drop up and the drop is not enough to reset other switches or affect power of other devices. This unit switches on every time and stays on until the printer is unplugged. Maybe not a direct answer but hope it helps.
