No USB Type A or Type C connection, just a lightning connection directly on the iPad unit itself.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.hi this version does not have a usb-c connector. this model has a 10.2" screen, works with the first generation apple pencil, and connects with a 'lightning' connector (like an iphone). there is an adapter which converts the lightning connector to usb if you want to transfer files and such. the ipad air is next version... it has a 10.5' screen, and a faster processor (brain), and more memory but is otherwise pretty much the same. both of those versions have the touch-id button on the front at the bottom of the ipad. this is used to unlock the ipad with your fingerprint and you can set it up to make purchases and other things using your fingerprint. the versions WITH the usb-c connector are called ipad PRO... they have bigger screens, faster , processors, more memory, and they work with the 2nd generation (newest) apple pencil. they connect with a usb-c cable and you can also use the connector to share files.. these versions do NOT have the touch-id button. they use face-id (which scans yor face instead of your fingerprint). so, when you look at an ipad, if it has the touch-id home button it has a lightning connector. and if it does not have any button on the front then it has a usb-c connector. hope this helps :)
