I guess that depends a bit on what you do with it, but I have an iPad Air (2013) and I still use it pretty much every day. It is not on the current OS, since it stopped at iOS 12.4.4, but that was recently updated (12/10/19). That is almost six years of being on current OS and it is still very functional. I have a newer model that I use as well. The 2013 iPad Air will start to see app update issues and such now. I would say five to six years is a good expectation for full functionality on a new iPad. If you can life with older app versions and some limitations, you can get another year or more. I have an original (generation 1) iPad and it still works just fine. Most of the apps on it, while old, still work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
