Why do I need wi fi on an iPad? null

If you want to access the internet or download apps, you need WiFi. You don't need cellular service with it if you don't want to make calls or text people from it. The cellular service is optional and only available on certain devices, the WiFi comes on all of them as far as I know.

Because I don't travel anywhere and having a LTE version just too expensive because I can just use my mobile hotspot
