- Answer My recently bought an iPad 10.2 a few weeks ago early October 2024, and it came with iOS 17.5.1... I'm holding off on iOS 18 while the bugs are worked out. FYI: Updating iPads & iPhones via USB cable to a PC with iTunes, or a Mac does a more thorough cleaner job updating than merely hitting 'Update' (over-the-air) on each device... if you're particular to that sort of thing.

- Answer Open Box would be an item that was opened and a customer didn't like it and returned it. A refurbished ipad would be one that had an issue, wasn't working, or had to be fixed.

- Answer I recently updated my 9th gen to IOS 17.7 and IOS 18 is also available. I opted to wait on IOS 18 until any potential bugs are identified and resolved.
