There should be no issues.
WI-FI is standard protocol world wide.

Unlocked has nothing to do with a Wi-Fi only device. Data services, ATT ,etc are what unlocked is all about.
With this Wi-Fi only device cannot have a data plan - there is on SIM slot anyway.

wifi is a global standard there is no wifi network locking it will work fine
