You can't program more ram into any device. Ram is a hardware feature. You can't "download more ram". So no, it is not possible. The ram is part of the SoC on the system's main I/O board. You can buy accessories for external storage but that's it.

No you cannot. You can however use the Apple cloud which I highly recommend. My wife and I share 200GB and you can also setup a “family plan” and share cloud services.
