- Answer It would be very hard to see. The glare on the glass almost prevent you from being able to read unless you are shaded by an umbrella. A Kindle paper would be better for the beach.

- Answer This seems like a bad problem, Try holding the power button untill shutoff then power on and in itunes on a laptop or pc or mac recover the device. try a update file if not then resort to factory reset.
