This model does not have cellular capability. This is a WiFi only model.

If your Verizon plan allows it, you can set your phone up as a hotspot which turns the phone into a Wi-Fi router that you can then connect your iPad to for internet access wherever your phone has signal. Only cellular version iPads can be directly added to cellular accounts and connect on their own…and that would incur a monthly fee plus an activation fee. Either way, any data used will go against your main phone plan.
