It cou look d mean someone purchased it and it was not what they wanted and returned it. It could be a display model. It could mean someone purchased it and there was a minor problem with the unit. It was repairs by the Geek Squad and place in open box for resale. It does not have the same warranty. But you can purchase one.

It’s when you return the item back to Best Buy if you ordered the item online but it wasn’t what you wanted. The store personnel open it up to clarify that it is that item in the box. So you can actually get a brand new item at a cheaper price.
