What does it mean "Unlocked"? null

This refers to a cellular model that is set up such that the consumer can select carrier post-purchase. Because unlocked devices are paid in full at the time of purchase, a carrier cannot “lock” the iPad into their plan (until paid off) as they often do with installment agreements.

You should be able to use with any cellular carrier but I would still check as there are different methods. CDMA versus GSM.

"Unlocked" means that you can use a sim card from any wireless provider you choose. Some unlocked devices only work on GSM networks but this one can connect to CDMA networks too. Basically you are not locked into using any provider's network but instead find the one that works best for your needs.

You can use any carrier if you're using cellular

That means you can get a SIM card and use cell data from your cellular provider for data and that it isn’t tied to a specific cellular provider.

Unlocked means that it is not associated with any of the major Cellular Carriers. It can be activated with either ATT, Verizon etc.and does not have the normal bloadware the carrier add to the units.

It can be used with any carrier.

It means it is a used device but it is unlocked and able to use. Cleared out. Not locked

I believe this means that the product is not a product that was previously used and is locked via a password.
