- Answer You could leave it plugged in, but that is not good for battery life. Batteries like to be run down before they are charged up again. It trains them to last longer.

- Answer No built in card reader but it may be possible to plug an external sd card reader into the usb-c port. Alternatively the device can be synced to iCloud encrypted storage for a monthly fee.
