• You can but it won't function as a phone. When you add a SIM card from a phone it will only use the data part

• Unfortunate not. The SIM card in an iPad is for cellular data only. I wanted to do the same thing, but AT&T said that it doesn’t work. If you notice on your phone under settings, there is a phone option, if you try going to your settings in your iPad, phone isn’t even an option.
