I would buy it from Best Buy because I trust they will have the iPad functional and shipped well. Also when I will buy from Best Buy I would use the AT&T service to have the service everywhere because it’s really convenient for work or entertainment and so I find it easier with service then without.

Please try again later.If you purchase a cellular enabled iPad that is either unlocked, or for use with the AT&T service, then yes you can use internet anywhere you get a cell signal that is powerful enough to support data. I drive from SLC to Great Falls MT from time to time, as well as to Las Vegas, and both have dead zones where the most you can hope for is sending a text message. If you're in a 3G area you might be restricted by AT&T as to how much data you can access or push.

Or if you have a smart phone with good data package you can just use the phone as a hot spot, than you can save some money on the iPad and not have to pay for additional service.
