• Yes, you can! The phone will only charge up to the max power allowed.

• It can as downs the power needed but it is overkill. Get yourself an appropriate adapter instead. Cheaper too.

• I'd call apple support if I were you, the stores are closed but allot of their tech's work remotely. Go into chat mode if need be.
