Yes. But you need to buy it from Best Buy. I tried to add AC via Apple and it said it was not possible. Purchased it at BB and it is active.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will want to verify this. I purchased an Open Box Excellent condition and tried to get Apple Care through Apple, it was not possible. I called Best Buy and the customer service representative told me, that getting Apple Care is not possible on an Open Box Item (they did not offer an extended warranty or Apple Care through Best Buy). And now 1.5 years later, my AirPods Max will not connect to my iPhone or Mac anymore. Tried to take it to Geek Squad, they said since it is no longer covered under warranty that I am out of luck. So now I have a $500 brick that does not do anything. Thanks Best Buy! I will never buy Open Box from them again!
