They look like the 1st gen but the ear pieces and case have been improved.

The 2nd Generation AirPods offer new features such as “Hey, Siri!” The case with the light is the optional wireless charging case. You can also buy “1st Generation” AirPods and buy the wireless charging case separately if you’d prefer.
