If you almost loose 1 AirPod, you can locate just the one missing from the “find my” app on your cellphone. Press locate it with give you the location and the one missing will make a sound to make locating it easier. GOOD LUCK!

I have not attempted to run or jump with the airpods in my ears but for normal use, unless you brush against them they will stay in your ear with no issue. I do wear them when working out at the gym as well as when walking.
