I have an android phone with no desire to use the AirPods. I would be buying the AirPods strictly for listening to music while exercising, walking etc. with my iPod. How are the AirPods rated for use with iPods? Is it considered a good purchase? null

They are headphones so yeah they are considered a good purchase. They can be use with any device that has Bluetooth included etc : iPad/ iPods/ other smartphone.

Yes.. I exercise with mine.. you run and jump with them. I have also lifted weights without any problem.
