Airpods with wireless charging costs $169 and regular costs $129. Functionality and features of Airpods themselves are same. Only charging case can be used with apple charger as well as wireless pad. Note : Apple wireless charging pad needs to be bought separately for 111$. If you don’t have one or not planning to buy, then go with regular AirPods at $129.

Which means you can place on a wireless charging pod to charge without plugging in the case. The regular charging case, which is typically cheaper, you would have to plug into a charger.
