That, Detective, is the right question. It would be nice if Best Buy would qualify this. However, my guess is that most likely they will only replace the battery if it is swelling or has other damage, OR if the Apple "Battery Health" falls below a certain unknown threshold. The reason for this: Replacing the battery unnecessarily would undoubtedly raise the price much higher than this selling price, as the battery alone costs Best Buy between $70-$100 from Apple. Most Apple users consider anything below 80% Battery Health to be on its way out, as the capacity begins to fall off quickly past this margin. I would return it if the battery health shows below this, or close to it.
