How is bass and treble controlled? null

The A8 chip inside the HomePod does automatic EQ and echo cancellation with beamforming for the tweeters. Screenshots from the newer versions of iOS show support for manual EP controls as well.

The CPU dynamically EQs the source material in real time. Most of these questions can be answered simply by reading Apples support site guys.

You can not control them yourself. I understand this may sound like a big turn-off, but the sound from the HomePod is exceptional. It is perfectly balanced; I wouldn't change the treble, bass, or mids even if I could. It adjusts itself based on the song that is playing and where the speaker is placed.
