I think battery is supposed to last 10 hours. I just got it and in a few hours was down 40% from 100% to 64% left. I have a lot of trouble shutting it down as I disabled the fingerprint code as I don't use it outside of my home. You have to constantly shut it down if you are not using it is my suggestion

Battery usage will vary from the apps used, of course, and the larger screen on a regular size Ipad will likely drain the battery faster than the smaller screen. Closing the pad to turn off the screen, I can use Spotify (sent by Bluetooth to my sound system) for much longer than when the screen is on, so again battery life will vary according to what you are using it to do
