Is this new?and how does it compare to mini2 null

It is a little bit larger than the Ipad Mini. I think the size is perfect

I have both an I pad mini and a 9.7” I pad air2 ... I consider this to be substantially larger.

This is a brand new iPad. It's better in land scape wise but Mini 2 is lighter in weight.
