Is this the same size as me second generation I Pad ? null

I believe it is....it is the same size as my first iPad 2 but noticeably thicker and heavier than my iPad Air 2.

It is the same approximate size as any generation, standard size iPad. However, it will only fit molded cases that are specifically manufactured for the 2017 iPad. This is due to a slightly different size and a change in the button and port positions.
