Hi RC, The cases for your iPad 2 will not fit this new model. The iPad 2 is slightly bigger than this new iPad model so the tablet is not held in place securely. I found this out the hard way LOL. Thankfully we ran right back to the store and grabbed a case that would fit this new model. Happy shopping.

No, it's not. The iPad 2 is much thicker. Given differences in thickness, shape of the edges, and changes in the positions of buttons, speakers and ports (charging and speaker), your old iPad 2 case is not likely to fit unless it was a sock :) I was able to put an Apple made iPad Air case on the new iPad though (there's a slight misalignment with the volume switch, but it works).
