• Typically there are two ways. iTunes on your computer can back it up and then restore your old one to the new one (few things need to be verified but if you can upgrade older iPad to the latest iOS, it makes the process easier). Second option is through the icloud backup (again tied to your iTunes user ID). I recommend the cloud as it’s more “non invasive” as once you start backing it up that way, it keeps your backup up to date as long as you plug it in once in a while and charge it with WiFi available.
