This is a perfect size for every day use, including school.

It has a good web browser so yes it would work just fine for school use. Just remember to get a good tough case for it because children drop things a lot.

This can be perfect for school use. Keep in mind that if your child will need to print, the easiest solution to print from an iPad is wireless printing.
