Apple products work in tangent with each other creating an ecosystem (properly referred to as the Apple ecosystem) so if you have a Mac computer, an iPhone, a pair of Airpods, and/or an Apple Watch they should all connect seamlessly to your iPad. - Answer Better processor as always but the main difference is that the newest model as the pen. Personally I went with last years model because the pen is not worth the extra money
