Hi RC, The cases for your iPad 2 will not fit this new model. The iPad 2 is slightly bigger than this new iPad model so the tablet is not held in place securely. I found this out the hard way LOL. Thankfully we ran right back to the store and grabbed a case that would fit this new model. Happy shopping.

Given differences in thickness, shape of the edges, and changes in the positions of buttons, speakers and ports (charging and speaker), your old iPad 2 case is not likely to fit unless it was a sock :) I was able to put an Apple made iPad Air case on the new iPad though (there's a slight misalignment with the volume switch, but it works).
