This is the latest version of iPad and I plan on using it till it’s dead. If you look at the iPhone X and now you compare that to the latest iPhone XR & XS the X is just as good only a slight increase of performance and features. Everything is supported via Apple they have upgrades to the iOS via the actual device or you connect to iTunes and you can to it that way to. WiFi updates or from your data provider if you get the Cellphone plan iPads. But if you already own an iPhone no need to get a iPad with a cellphone provider. All you do is link your iPhone with your new iPad together and that’s how you get data on the go. This is only my opinion. So if you compare the latest iPad 6 Gen to the iPad Pro again the difference is small and again in my opinion money wise IPad 6 Gen is fine and should last the next 5 years. My friend has the pro and she is using it for chatting and games.

Please try again later.The Life of the Ipad, is determined by the user and the users Use, If you use it daily, and take good care of it, this device can last more then 10 years, if you use it periodically and charge the battery inadvertently when a greater then 15% charge remains it can cut down the life of the tablet and Battery considerably. Creating a need to replace the battery sooner then expected, as soon as 2-4 years, cost is $100 for the labor and $129.99 for the aftermarket battery, unless you submit it to apple. Their is a 1 year parts and labor warranty and if you want, an extended protection plan offered via, Geek Squad at best buy stores. and bestbuy.com . The pre installed programs may need to be Updated over time, but if you want to use a fire app, or google app with the Ipad, it is not supported. their are programs that can mirror those devices but installing them will void your contract with apple. for warranty. This program also, does not protect against Virus applications. But as in all tablets and other devices, the apps you put on the Ipad must be supported by Apple, to use them flawlessly.
