“What does 32 GB or 128 GB do for the iPad? I thought it had something to do with when you would be required to pay for iCloud storage ie; free up to 5GB? So evidently nothing to do with ICloud?I don’t want to pay for storage, so if it is 5 GB max,”

32gb and 128gb are the the drive capacity to allow you to install apps and store files. iCloud is a backup feature from Apple.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.128GB gives you more room to put programs on the iPad thereby not having to rely on the iCloud. 5 GB is okay if you pay attention and control what goes into it. Also you can download what is in it to your computer to free up the space as needed
