I’ve never had an IPad before, so when it says it has wifi but no cellular, does it still work on the road or only when it’s connected to the internet? null

Yes, the internet can only be accessed when it's connected to wifi of some sort. Nonetheless you can utilize the hotspot feature on your phone if your carrier and plan support it and establish a connection that way while you're in the car etc

As everyone else has stated, it would ONLY "work"; if it's connected to a wi-fi signal. HOWEVER, if your cell phone has a Mobile Hot Spot, you have the option to tether the iPad to your cellular "hotspot"; which would give it a mobile wi-fi connection; therefore enabling it to work "on the road". Note: How good of a connection using a tethered wi-fi hot spot will also depend on your cellular service/carrier serviced area and I would also verify how much mobile hot-spot data is included in your monthly service plan, so you can avoid any additional data overage charges.

It only works with Wi-Fi or internet. No phone. But you can use facetime with it when on wifi. Hope that helps.

Only when connected to the internet. However, if you decide to use it for as cellular as well, then you can have it all.

The iPad still works but is limited to applications that do not require Internet connection. Everything that is previously Downloading can work without Wi-Fi.
