Hi! I don't have a phone. A friend of mine was saying that this was basically a iphone but bigger. Is this true or do you have to connect an iphone to this to use the apple apps? Thanks null

I have an iPhone 7 so my iPad does act as a phone to. You don’t have to have an iPhone to use apple apps on the I pad. The iPad is a separate tablet on its own. It’s up to you if you have an iPhone to sync them if you want to. You don’t have to.

You will Have to sign up for an Apple ID. BUt you do not need an iPhone to enjoy an iPad. I had my iPad 5 years before I got my first iPhone
