“Does this Ipad has plastic like touchpad? I returned Ipad 5th generation few months back as it made a hollow tapping noise as i typed slowly. Also, i thought the touchpad is not glass like it used to be in earlier models.”

I feels like it’s plastic, def have a clicky sound. It’s More like iPhone 5s models...
