How should one calculate the necessary GB to use? null

If you currently own an iPhone and store personal data on it, tap on settings then general > about and down to capacity/available to get an idea of how much device storage you require.

Depends on what you want it for, movies, books, pictures. If it’s for movies or pictures you will need more gigs. If all you do is read or browse the web less is ok.
