“Can you adjust the font when you want to print?. The font is too large when I print with my existing iPad and there is no way to adjust it smaller.”

• It depends on what you want to print. Something straight off the web will print what was uploaded to the web. From apps on your iPad (Pages, Word, PDF) yes, you can change the font in editing mode.
