In my limited knowledge, the wifi only model is less expensive. I chose this because there are so many hot spots available. You absolutely can connect to a network. I sign in to my sister's wifi all the time. You can also pay extra to get a data plan so wifi connection is not an issue. Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is not a data plan IPad so you must use WiFi to connect to the net. The only other option would be to enable the hotspot on your cellphone and connect the iPad to your phone and use data that way.
