You can print to a wireless printer provided it is connected to same wireless network your iPad is connected to. No need to download anything.

Please try again later.If you have a wireless printer connected to your wifi network you can easily send print jobs to it from your iPad by selecting the Print function of the program you're using. While within range of your wifi connection, select "Print" from within whatever app you're running. The name of your printer, or any other printer within the range of your wifi connection, will appear. Select the appropriate printer and touch "Print". The document will begin printing in a short time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.look if your printer has an app so you can scan and print from your device.. it would be up to your printer.. not IOS device. I have a brother wifi printer and I use the app to print or scan from my device.
