I don't know how long it will be supported, but it updates to the latest firmware as of today. It is the last of the mini line up, so I would imagine it will stick around for a bit.

It doesnt support the apple pen. But for 300 bucks its a great deal. I dont beleive we will see a ipad mini 5 unil at least 2019.
