“Will the cover for my Generation 2 iPad work for my iPad 4 ?”

• I doubt it. I had an iPad mini 1st gen, which used the same covers as 2 and 3. I tried my old Smart Cover on the new 4. It functioned (turned off the mini when closed), but was a little loose. Overall dimensions are slightly different. A Smart Cover would work in a pinch, but a full case probably wouldn’t fit precisely.

• No, the covers for the earlier version of the iPad mini do not fit the mini 4.
