• My Mini 4 is only WiFi and I have the Dish Anywhere app ( I believe is the equivalent to Direct tv app) I’m able to watch live TV or shows I’ve recorded as long as I’m hooked to WiFi, or when I don’t have WiFi I can watch any recordings previously dowloaded. Hope this answers your question.
