I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and guess that if the accessary is wired, then it probably won't work with this MINI because it appears they changed the port to a "C" from the "lightening" port of previous MINI's. Which means of course, none of the multitude of chargers I have will work. Unless they have a dongle -- another fidget to hang on to or lose. But, if your accessary is wireless, I don't know. They do say that the latest Apple Pencil, 2, is compatible, but, nothing in this description about previous pencils.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately, none of the IPad Mini 5th gen accessories other than Bluetooth enabled devices will work with the IPad Mini 6th gen. The IPad Mini 6th gen uses the modern IPad Pro (2018 and current) designs which includes using the 2nd gen pencil. The 2nd gen pencil uses the IPads magnets on the righthand side to not only connect and pair to the IPad, but also to charge it as well. The 6th Gen Mini uses the USB type C port which makes it immpossible for the 1st gen Apple Pencil to even connect and pair to the device. In addition, the IPad Mini 6th gen does not come with the smart connecters at the back of the device (the three yellow pins), it is most likely just too small for it to connect and fit and to have an entire keyboard comfortably. If you do choose to get the Mini, I'll leave some stuff to recommend to use.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I took the plunge and most of what I read was wrong! The Magic Keyboard pairs with no issue with the mini 6. Glad that is out of the way!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just to provide what I located online: "But there is no Apple Smart Keyboard for it."
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it will not pair with iPad mini 5 accessories. The 6th gen is a whole world of its own. Thy currently have aftermarket support for keyboard cases available through other sources if that I will not name here…if that is what you prefer. Also, as far as the Apple Pencil goes, you will have to utilize the gen 2, which in terms, the 1st gen is deemed useless if you already own one.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did see the info about the later generation pencil. But from everything I have read so far even the Apple Magic wireless keyboards will not work. I am sure many won't care about that but for us its a deal killer. Will stick with the Mini 5 for now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think you should wait until you are able to upgrade your accessories as well. I’m pretty sure the Pencil 1 won’t be compatible. I can’t speak for the keyboard. The mini 5 should last you a few more upgrade cycles and the form factor isn’t that much different than the 6. I would have continued to use my mini 4 if it could have handled the software updates better, but it slowed down too much. Otherwise I still loved the form factor and the screen size difference was really not an issue. Performance should be your determining factor on when to upgrade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ipad mini 6 has a different port so probably no. pencil 1 will not work you need pencil 2. Pencil 1 uses lightening port to charge and sync and mini 6 has USB C not lightening ports.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is not said to work with Apple pencil 1.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You must use the 2nd generation apple pencil, it uses a usb-c port for charging and accessories. No Apple smartfolio or keyboard. You can use a third party bluetooth keyboard. If you have a mini5 I don't think it has enough features to warrant an upgrade at this time.
