You definitely want to upgrade to the newest iPad mini. Not only for its features, but for security purposes. You can upgrade to the most recent iOS version and have peace of mind that your data is safe/secure. As for features, it’s still portable and user friendly. Though there’s no longer a physical home button, there’s a button at the top that has a fingerprint sensor or you can press the button to enter a passcode. You can also purchase an Apple Pencil, which can be used for writing notes or as a stylus (depending on what you’re looking for) Without knowing specific hand issues, it’s still small and has a bigger screen than the mini 4. The screen is brighter and the device is super fast. I hope this helps! If size doesn’t matter, the newest iPad can also serve basic needs. Just not very portable. Good luck!
