• If you pay off the whole device, you can ask AT&T to unlock the phone so you can use it anywhere else.

• If has a sim card, you can use cricket, t mobile. Also some Mexican phone carriers will work with sim card. That's if you don't pay the phone off and ruin your credit. You still got cricket. No credit check.
