I have a friend that his personal phone Right now is an iPhone unlocked from Mexico. He activated with a cricket wireless in the United States. The service and the phone is just fine. A couple years ago I went on vacation to Mexico for a full month and I activated my iPhone 6 with a Mexican cellular service for that period and worked just fine. As long the phone is unlocked I don’t see any issues that you could have to activate the new iPhone in Argentina. But I am not familiar with cell phones in that region.
