Why does the Best Buy site say for ATT you can only buy the XR if adding a new line. I only want to repace the older IPhone 6. If this is true I’ll just go directly to ATT. null

This new line is for the buy one get one offer. You can always just buy the phone outright or through the next plan.

Because the iphone 6’s and 7’s are basically obselete. The 6’s will stop receiving updates very soon and the 7’s I believe next year. So the XR is the only phone technically thats worth purchasing.
