No, the phone in this listing is not unlocked. It can be used with Verizon or AT&T. In order to get a completely unlocked iPhone you can use with any carrier, you need to purchase it directly from Apple.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No Best Buy does not sell universally carried unlocked new gen iPhones. To truly use the phone any carrier any time you can only get those through Apple. As the other answer states you can manipulate Verizon devices for other carrier if you know what your doing, otherwise AT&T will unlock the device for you only once it’s paid off but obviously you’d have to have a plan with them and I believe it’s at least 6 months of service but it’s still not the same as a truly universally unlocked phone which is calibrated for both GSM and CDMA and any international service providers. I worked in Best Buy Mobile (recently) for several years. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Best Buy does not sell the unlocked version so once you put in the sim card it will lock to that provider's network and you will have to contact that provider to get it unlocked.

Went back to get Isim card (which they don't carry, because it wasn't supposed to be sold to me.) After calling *** (and repeated yeses that this phone is compatible.) Went online entered imei number, website says "Your phone can be used." Click here to order SIM card. The IMEI number has to be accepted in order to even Order the sim card. Received sim card today. Headed back tomorrow so phone company can get them on the phone to truly unlock it. Seen vids of people unboxing used iphone XS and no sim card. Opened mine and it has a sim card in it besides the one they gave me. Guy sold me on the apple care as well. All in all this should be interesting. Just want the phone I bought for the company I said, to work and some sort of "how do we (either company) fix this mess?"
